Put a guitar pick in every guitar case!

Got to the open mic last night (about 15 minuts from home) only to realize I didn't have any picks with me! I had changed pants right before leaving, forget to grab some, and as I was playing my 12-string, it didnt' have any picks in the outside pocket of the hard gig bag.
Borrowed a pick from new partner Art, but it was pretty thin compared to the Fender Heavy I always use. Couldn't get the right feel to play the lead part on 1 song (I may post the video later) as the pick was just flexible.

Sound advice. And if you cannot find one just check the bottom of the clothes washer.

Yep, a couple in my wallet and a handful in each gigging guitar case.

Jeff Beck doesn't have that problem.

I know people who use a quarter when they don't have a pick.

I bummed a Bick lighter from the crowd once when I misplaced my ping pong ball. 8)

You can use a quarter, nickel or penny if you're desperate.

The coins aren't that bad and they sound ok as well.

My one buddy takes a hammer and smashes a quarter into a rough triangle and that's his pick for the night.. (KLANG)
