Not ever been "that kid" still, my wife & I have spent a lot of money.
And I a lot of time researching / gathering and all too often re or re re gathering equipment and people for my musical project.
now that the money is spent ( and gone ) I really have no regrets.
It's like a life a season change. focused even more on learning to use my equipment, and improving / changing my guitar style with a side project to be the driving force for that change.

Guess what I really wanted to say is how much I have enjoyed, and how much I appreciate the support and critique I've received through the musicians here.

Thanks guys n gals.

No . . . I've not been drinking.

That's the way it is for all musicians George! All we think about is how we can improve everything about our music. To me it is the passion of being a musician! I just can't stop thinking, studying, hand wringing, practicing, reading everything about music!

Plenty o pitfalls these days..plenty.

I play with a garage band periodically (all seasoned professionals) and we get some good sounds. About half original. We were going to play this coming Saturday but the drummer had to go out of town. Since I play bass in this setup that was a bummer.

The singer / guitarist was depressed and wanted to cancel but I suggested we work out a couple of originals - one of his and one of mine - and have them ready when the drummer returns.

The singer and I play together a lot with us both on guitar and focus on originals. It's good stuff. Not sure where it's going but we're getting to try out our material with good players and that matters.

It always sucks in some way it seems. But you have to keep plodding on. Not even sure why - but I know we do! 8)
