Howdy y'all, going to Berlin tomorrow, England next week, Poland after that....

Was listening to German radio stations today while driving from Stuttgart to Leipzig and have a few observations.

1. German radio is 70% talk
2. What few music stations there are were almost exclusively playing bad 80s music, with some 50s (Buddy Holly???). All in English
3. Heard maybe 5 songs in Deutch (German) the whole way.

For a nation that produced some of the greatest composers in history, it's amazing that they don't write their own music these days. Even the songs sung in German were still using that 80s gated-reverb drum sound. What's up with that?

And I heard a german band singing, "Take me home country road, to the place I belong, VEST WAGINIA mountain mama....

oy? Most of us could be big stars in Germany, I think....

.

Thanks Jeff, mighty nice of you to say that...

You'd be huge here. They really seem to love either 80s classic rock, or techno/dance music and nothing in between.
