Haley that band from Memphis that I talked to about jumping into, is at Lances Turtle Club, in Seabrook TX tonight 8-9-13 and tomorrow 8-10-13.

I was just wondering if its one of the places you guys play, the name of the group is No Control.

I almost took them up on this trip, but Im glad I didnt because my daughter wound back up on my doorstep yesterday.

Played there many times. Today is my wife's birthday I'll see if I can talk her into going out there! I have officially been knighted a turtle by the Imperial Turtle (Lance)! If someone ask you if your a Turtle you say "you bet your sweet ass I am" They'll like that place John! 200K cigarette boats docked all along and Boat whores GALORE! The Turtle Club is a floating bar with 2 floors it is an old Barge! Lance needs to pull it out and do a bottom Job but so many folks want the land if he pulls it out of the water he'll never get a permit to put it back. Those DAMN politics! It's the strangest sensation playing there because every now and then a BIG boat pulls up and the wake pushes the Turtle around! Basically the floor moves it will make you Sea Sick if you "Drank" too much!

If you happen to go by there, the drummers name is Gene, hes really the only one I know, but tell him I told you about the gig.

Honestly I wish I had known it was that close, cause you could have played with them. I dont know if they found anyone or were just going to do it 3 piece.

I dont know if I would like playing on a "floating" stage, would probably be one of those places where they feed me shots or something, I can see myself trying to stand up!

That place is less than 10 miles from our house. I offered to take her out for a NICE meal but she said (earlier this week) She wants me to get her the "Carol Burnett" dvd's of her old comedy show and stay home and watch those. Are we getting old or what? She is 46 today!

You are younger than me dude, I think they are playing tonight and tomorrow night if I remember right, so if you arent gigging and they didnt get anyone, you might pick up a gig night.
