On ONE song lol
the rest will be finished by the weekend

"Gravity" from Burnt Offerings. The final mix (pre-mastered)
the first song on my player.
Would you consider giving it a listen n tell meat you think of it, and the mix?

Salute!

I can't ever remember critiquing a song on the internet. Mostly because I don't want to ever be accused of taking any part of anyone else's song just because we're both on the internet....but just this once because you aren't a lukewarm person and I like ya ;-)

"Mook"

The performance is good, can feel the passion. The melodic/lyrical/musical interplay is excellent, especially for a rock song

Sorry but the recording sounds cheaply produced, yet very useable for a demo to get gigs locally. All it would need is a lot more attention to getting a great tone on every track recorded, but if you can pull that off live, then you (y'all?) rock!

And the mysterious image of putting up photos of different people that can't really be seen is kinda cool. Are you the girl with the pitchfork? I couldn't help but see it as "Hatin' kIng" when I read it. Is that anyone in the band? Maybe the blond guy playing guitar?

...just kidding

Gravity is not on there.

Mook is the first tune.

Free Fall/Gravity is on your reverbnation page - is this the final mix? Probably not? The drums in it sound a little lifeless - muted drums and high hats very buried.

Whoops... it said it was loaded, but it doesn't take wav. I'll change it to mp3 tomorrow night. too tired. Just out of the studio and back in tomorrow for the day

Sorry, and Thanks:
yod - thanks, and no that's not the final mix on either song
Mike- Thanks correct, it's not the final mix

I'm not going to get them the way I want them due to lack of money/time.
Also the engineer has never done music like mine, and every song is different so it's quite a challenge for him. He/we are doing the best we can to get it right though.

Salute!

If you want to send me the Stems (WAV files) for one of your songs, I will try doing a mix for you - I'm pretty quick on 'first mixes', its just the tweaking that takes time. If you use Reaper, you could send a project file, but otherwise the separate track WAVs will work. If you have any VST f/x on tracks you want to leave as is, just render the stem file as is first. Otherwise, leave things like reverb, eq and compression off of them.

Thanks a lot for the offer Mike, but sadly there are only a couple of master files in existence. Some 2nd n third mixes, but that's mostly it.
And to be honest I don't know when I will have the time to get that done for you. Maxed out on time right now.
But thanks again!
