New Yorks electrical grid is outdated, overloaded and the biggest
consumer in North America other than the military. They are desperate for a solution to this problem. Their subway system is an unbelievable electrical draw
and future problem. This problem exists in all major cities in America to one
degree or another.

Energy produced in off hours is wasted and energy produced at peak
times is more expensive. The population is growing and their only fix is
build more substations and grid. Until now.

VFB - Vanadium Flow Battery
This is future battery technology that will allow energy produced by
wind turbines and solar panels to be stored economically for use when needed. The Vanadium electrolyte used in this battery does not wear out.
They give it a 20 year life only because the apparatus holding it wears out
before the vanadium does and the electrolyte needs to be transferred to a
new battery after 20 yrs. Lithium-Ion cant even begin to say that. You will
have to rent this battery for emergency power at your house because if
you bought it they wouldn't see you as a customer again for 20 yrs.
The generator business will suffer greatly.

Your power company will be able to buy electricity when its cheap and
send it to you after storing it and you will use it when they need to shave
the peak expensive time. cha-ching major money saved all over America
and the world.

Tip of the day  [/b]

That is until 2014 when the "Environmental Persecution Agency" shuts down 1/5 of our electrical grid power producing coal operated generating plants.

Check out how much power a wind generating plant can produce, and check out the size of the footprint needed to produce what one single coal powered plant produces.

Then do the same concerning the footprint and output of one solar plant as compared to one single coal burning plant.

If you do your homework and look into the matter you will see that we are headed for destruction. Wind and solar, all lies and money grabs. These alternative energy solutions have grabbed millions of funneled taxpayer dollars and then folded when the kitty went dry. Electric cars selling for 100,000 to whom? Gore got a pile of money from Fiscar )SP) the electric car company before it went belly up. Did anyone see a solution there? Nope. It was just a con game. Solindra. Anyone see that growing? Nope. Took millions of taxpayer dollars and absconded with them.

What alternative solution is paying off so far? Which without taxpayer subsidies can stand on its own? None of them.

When 1,000 coal plants (for starters) are shut down, what will replace them? If you investigate the matter as I did you shall know and no one will ever be able to cover your eyes and ears with piles of rhetorical bullshit.

Green is the new Communist Red, so I have heard.

I find it interesting that with any "conversation" on energy there is mention of solar cells or wind farms as a source.
The facts are that neither are viable in the current format and technology and are heavily subsidized to the point of ridiculous.

A solar cell for instance requires approximately ten times it's lifetime production of electricity just to manufacture.

If we are going to discuss energy.
It needs to be done outside the unicorn farm.

Cmon Slack, don't be such a negative Nelly.
It's real, it works and is being manufactured and sold in Europe now.
North America is behind times with this. The responsibility for bringing this tech, to America will likely be fought over politicly. This is very Green and
popular tech. The money that can be saved is too great to ignore. The
more you learn about it the more you will believe.
Take a look.

Is it possible someone else can know more about energy than Americans?
If you don't know about it, does it not exist?[/b]

Vanadium batteries do offer a needed energy storage technology breakthrough. The fly in the ointment is still cost. Add the cost of storage to the cost of generation to find the levelized costs of the system that ratepayers must bear. With solar PV at $144/mwh + VFB at $245/mwh the result is electricity costing 5 times more than nuke, coal or NG generation. Multiply your current Edison bill 5X to see your results.

I guess the Austrians are idiots then hugh.

1. Cost of solar panels or turbine. You would buy this anyway if going green.
2. Cost of energy they gather = 0
3. Cost of Vanadium battery. This will be a rental due to Vanadium never
wearing out for 20 years.
The cost of mining Vanadium from the Gibellini mine in Nevada will be the
lowest cost in the world. The cost of delivery will be minimal due to
geographic advantage. The battery is completely scalable. The cost of the
Vanadium electrolyte will be spread out over time due to advantage of
leasing.

Cellstrom makes one tractor trailer size battery every month and has
for one and a half years. The co. has been bought out by Gildemeister
one of the biggest tooling companies in the world.[/b]

Total costs spread out over time is how levelized energy costs are derived. Do the math and see what you come up with. The Austrians are actually very smart. 70% of their electricity generation is hydro which is very clean at a very low levelized cost.

Solar and wind power is not free. There are production costs, land leases, installation costs, maintenance costs, repair costs after a major storm, and end of life dismantling/recycling costs after a 20 yr life. They are still more expensive per mwh than nuke/NG/Coal even with no additional fuel costs.

What you are not including is monies saved.
Gasoline/diesel Not used in generators.
Difference between peak costs and off peak costs when utilities would purchase power to fill
batteries.
Cost of coal not being burned and pollution not being dumped into the air.
I'm sure there is more.
You will be able to fill your electric car in 6 minutes instead of 12-15 hours.

Klugmo... You are missing the whole point...

Collapse and take over of the USA can not occur until all private arms are confiscated, total energy control is complete, and everyone is turned into a sheep... BAH BAH BAAAAHHH!

Am I missing something here? You do not save energy charging batteries.

Batteries take more to charge than they deliver when charged. So after we get everything to run on batteries, where will we get the power to charge them? Solar or wind couldn't even scratch the surface. The gestapo are shutting down water powered generating plants as well as coal generating plants.

So although water generators are less expensive to run and generate far more than solar or wind, why should they be shut down other than to grab all power and create a crisis through power shortages?

Don't think for a moment that this regime isn't trying to crash our economy and take all our rights as free citizens. This regime does not serve the people, rather the people serve this regime. They are using phony climate change and other myths such as "green initiatives" to destroy our way of life through "wealth redistribution". This is the Communist party ruling through the EPA and other gestapo branches. No? Then why are they supporting that which they are banning here in other countries?

How about the IRS blackmailing people to shut up, Pravda, our press, hiding truth and spreading propaganda, the so called health care law which is for the most part only a revenue scheme, and all the rest? How about the phony gun laws that are taking away the 2nd rights, and the free speech being taken from us, how about the lawlessness of this regime leader and the phony supreme court decisions? Look at the phony immigration bill designed to get millions more on government assistance. It is only to bankrupt America in order that they can take over completely.

Our constitution and bill of rights have both been all but disabled through the lawlessness of Marxists, Socialists, and Communists who have totally infiltrated our governing systems. We no longer have any say in the government that is supposed to be working for the people.

We threw God out of America. Now God is taking America, as we knew it, from us. This is the beast changing America in order to form a one world government, a goal long desired by those in high places.

The attributes of the Beast are these:

Wrongdoing, evil, desire for the goods of others, hate, envy, putting to death, fighting, deceit, cruel ways, evil talk, and false statements about others, full of pride, without respect, full of loud talk, given to evil inventions, not honoring father or mother, without knowledge, not true to their undertakings, unkind, having no mercy: worship of images, use of strange powers, angry feelings, attempts to get the better of others, divisions, false teachings, uncontrolled drinking and feasting, and such things.

Those are the attributes of the Beast. Can you see him? He is all around you. He is taking the world captive. He is rising and taking power day by day. In order to align all countries, there can be no countries having a constitution other than that dictated by the UN or another world governing tyrannical group.

Who is this "mythical beast" that so many do not believe exists? It is the beast written about in Rev 13:1.

Rev 12:18 + 13:1 (part) CEV The dragon stood on the beach beside the sea. I looked and saw a beast coming up from the sea.
17: 15 (part) The waters which you saw, where the evil woman is
seated, are peoples, and armies, and nations and languages.

Unrepentant unbelieving man is the beast. We are the prophesied beast.

Talking on solar energy, the problem at this point is the efficiency of the panels themselves, over time Im sure they will get better and make solar power more practical. We all hammer that the government subsidizes this technology, but the fact is without these funds developing it, it might not ever become viable. I read somewere that the panels are only around 30% efficiency at this point, making them around 38-40% will make it work.

Was that a solar flare they predicted here for next week>? lol

That would remove any concerns you would normally have about the old and antiquated electrical systems we're dependent on.
