Yod again allowed me to tag along on the recording sessions for his next CD. Whew, talk about people who know how to get it done! This is going to be an amazing work of art when it is finished. I was just a fly on the wall in a room with giants:

Ted Pearce- Songwriter and lead vocals

Wendy Waldman- Songwriter, Producer, guitar, keys - (Linda Ronstadt, Garth Brooks, Vanessa Williams)

Rob Hoffman- Recording Engineer - (Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Christina Aguilera)

Scott Babcock- Drums (session drummer for everyone in LA)

Abe Parker- Lead Guitar, E-bow (young MI grad with monster guitar chops)

Carl Sealove- Bass

Funny story- Between takes Ted and I were chatting with guitarist Abe. He mentioned that he was really jonesing for a nice Tele right now. I said "well it's possible that a nice Tele might be sitting in my car right now." Abe said "might or is?". I said "let's go have a look!" I brought it in and Abe used it on the last track for the day. Hopefully it will end up on the CD once it is completed.

A nice way to spend a Friday evening. I was especially moved by the high level of talent, productivity, and overall positive vibe during the entire 8 hr session. I have been in recording sessions where there was a lot of strife and angst. No strife is WAY better and you get a lot more accomplished.

Now that's cool right there. 8)

It's really sad this Bandmix site sucks so bad.
No one ever makes any good connections here.

Yes, this sort of informal gathering and shared experience is the best part of Bandmix and far more interesting than the "North vs South" or "End of the world" stuff for me.

To each his own.

Looks like we barely missed each other...

I played in Bethlehem Friday and Allentown tonight. Staying in Pottstown and I see it's about 30 miles from Ottsville. Why are hotels so stinkin' expensive in LeHigh Valley? Why don't they build some more, dang it!??! Don't they know there's a college nearby? oy!

But (I think) you're welcome to sit in on a session we're doing in DC on or about July 10th.

That sounds like it was a lot of fun. Nice to be able to sneak in some tips for studio work.

A little cheaper if you head west on I-78 (Fogelsville) - business area.
