I put down the guitar/bass quite a number of yrs. ago. I remember back in the day reading ads in the local trade mags. of bands seeking members.It would say Our influences are...Yada,Yada,Yada and they were bands that were the current hip flavor-of-the-week. and have only been around for a maybe a yr. Really? you have been influenced by a band that hasnt even been out a yr yet.I laughed at those ads. What they should have said was band seeking members...we know how to play this bands songs, or we figured out this bands album. LOL
