http://tonynickolas.bandcamp.com/ Hey there! I'm new to this web site and just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm Tony and I'm a musician and songwriter and I just put out my album Caught In The Flood back in October. I played all the instruments myself and just wanted to get some feedback and see what everyone thought of it. I'd like to thank you in advance for taking the time out of your day to check it out. Simply click on the link above and let me know what you think. I look forward to discussions on this forum and making new friends. Thank you again.

Good energy, nice intro... (Caught in the flood)... It seems to have a 'Green Day" / Oasis / influence to it.

Keep on keepin on

I like your sound... though the recordings are a bit rough at times.
I think you have a unique enough sound to get some attention if you're looking for it. A bit nasally at times on the vox but over-all good effort and songs... I enjoyed it. 8)
Best to you!

Welcome

I like your style . . . but not the mix.

Can't really put my finger on why. Just seems to have that finger on a chalk board effect.

Perhaps when I am not already in ear fatigue, I should listen again / more.

At any rate, as I said, welcome to the fray.

Good songs, but I agree regarding the overall mix - did someone master this for you, or did you use a mastering preset? I ask because the overall tone is very loud in the ear fatigue area. A good mastering engineer would put a spectrum analyzer on it and EQ accordingly.

Sadly it wasn't ever mastered properly. I agree though that the mix is a little on the loud side. The guy who did it was just starting out. I just know how to write the songs, I stay away from the rest of the technical stuff. But I will bear that in mind when I go to do the next one. Thank you for listening and thanks for digging the style. Cheers.

Don't know if it's worth it to you but I use Soundworks in Blue Springs, Missouri. He's not cheap, but he could do wonders for your recording. The owner is Andy Oxman. Check out the tunes on my Bandmix profile page for example. If you contact him tell him fisherman bob sent you.

I shall mention you if I use him. Thanks for the tip!
