I'm looking for a band to sing for! I'm 18 and would prefer to be in a band with people between the ages of 16 and 22. I am wanting to find two guitarists, a bass player and a drummer! Guy or girl.

Victaga, I am from H-town also (far south). Most of the good players are on the North side of town. My advise to you is try CL or www.houstonbands.net
You are young and you have to be VERY patient. You will find that this site will frustrate you because once players or bands find what they are looking for they don't check their profile messages. As a result you will contact 20 prospects here and MAYBE one will reply. Good luck to you!

If you truly want to sing, don't place age restrictions on the players.
There are enough real hindrances to forming / joining a band without placing artificial ones too.

I said I would PREFER it....not that they had to be between that age. Really if there are similar music interests I do not care how old.

Get some music or videos recorded with you singing - even if it is a friend videoing you with their iPhone at a karaoke night. Bands want to 'pre-audition' singers before spending valuable practice time doing in-person auditions.

I think you got it right on the head,if your music interest are similar.I'd still kinda prepare for a tad of frustration.Sometimes you start out good with some promise and then BANG!you'll find it's not quite for you or them,as far as progressing.Good luck buddy.

That sounds to me like you have a plan . . . glad to hear it.
Best wishes!

This... Defnitely this... The worst thing to show on a singer's profile is no singing...
