Dawg, thanks for posting that. As much as the average stupid person may say OH MY.

The biggest thing I saw was that NONE of this was up for discussion. It was snuck in. It was not the normal way of business.

The one incensed senator ,should have been angry as heck. This was done without the proper protocol and respect for all the members there.

BUT... Even worse is the evidence... We are the absolute authority... Shut up and sit down. Then the final insult... You are the reason to take away your guns.
(To maintain maximum control of people, just like you, senator.)

By the way, this is Illinois... Strongest gun control... Highest gun crime rate.

AYFKM? They sneak EVERYTHING in, did you ever look at a transportation bill?? Do you think that ANYONE actually discussed the 2/3 of the bill that was 'slipped in'? The bridge to nowhere is probably the most famous and obvious example.

Stop acting like this sh*t never happens- that it's somehow SHOCKING.. it's not. It's how MOST things come into law via congress.

I AGREE that it shouldn't even be possible, or ever done, but that video is nothing more than a congressman playing politics, calling his opponent out on something every single one of them does. He most likely hurt his own standing in congress more than anything else, and I'd bet my shorts that the NRA has paid him well for his sacrifice.

First Kramer... This wasn't congress. This was Illinois legislation. Second Kramer... I doubt the NRA was even involved in such a minor tiff.
Third and the most important point is that a legislator, with an opposing view point was shut down so violently that he lost his cool. HOWEVER...

The opposition to him allowed NO open discourse or discussion. THEY SIMPLY SHUT HIM UP.

If that is the sort of government you want... I can't wait for the 2nd coming.

Both sides of our legislative bodies do horrible things to each other and to the voters. To think this is a one-sided issue is gullable and dishonest. But whatever. I would think by now most people would have realized that both the dems and reps are screwing them, but keep picking your partisan sides and crying foul as your own side continues to f**k you with sand as lube. Eventually you might realize you've been mounted, but from the responses here, I guess not.
