Happy Birthday to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Going to play 'I'm 18' at tomorrow night's OM. Only off by 39 years!
Got my refund from ebay on that banged up Taylor. $200 card from GC (warranty refund for the Fender acoustic that turned out to be ok), plus some $$ left on a couple of prepaid debit cards. Finally sold the Kawai synth I've had on CL/ebay for 2 months, but the guy hasn't paid yet. Once he does, I've almost got enough for a used Taylor in good shape from GC!
Had to put the wife in a pissy mood last night - got home from work to see an instrument-shaped box on the back steps. 'Ktone' on the box - uh-oh. Quick web search showed a less-than-adequate supplier of cheap Chinese instruments. Had to say something, even prior to opening it. So I opened it, a banjo. Looked quite nice. Set the bridge, tightened up the strings. Tightened them up again. WTF? the 'shortie' neck peg just unwinds itself after tuning to G. Play a few notes along the fretboard. Might be good if one was making Asian music that doesn't use the 13 note system - frets are way f*cked, sharp and flat in various places. Luckily, my wife bought it from an ebay store, so can return it, less the return shipping charges.
I told her a GC gift card would be better and advised her on not buying instruments for me (especially when she saw what happened when I bought the Taylor on ebay!)
Dinner and a few brews at an Irish pub tonight!
