That's awesome George looks like a fun gig! Is your drummer using an electronic kit? They are a LOT easier to mix not mention freeing up some extra channels from your board! Plus it takes the equation of everyone having to set their amps to match the drummer which can be a bummer if he is a hard hitter.

Steven has a "guitarist touch" when it comes to drumming. His technique varies depending on mood and nuance.
This is something I have come to really appreciate about him the more exposure I get to other drummers.
He debated till the last minute, and opted for the electronic kit.
I don't feel we lost anything but set up time.
We opened the show @ 11:00 am . . . we left at 9 pm . . . was a long day.
But a very good one.
We utilized our system to run 90% of the show.
The "headline" act was a quartet whom sang to backing tracks.
They had, and used their own very extensive system.
Honestly, I think they would have been better off with ours.

But, I'm rather bigoted towards our own gear.

Yeah . . . we have been working on that.
Chris is new to our band, and doing a lot better, yet he works 3-11 M-F and is a full time student, and guitarist in his own band too boot.
He's made a handful of Saturday rehearsals, and is picking up our material pretty fast. But he did not feel he was quite competent to risk a show based on using just a cheat sheet on the floor.

Yes it was . . . basically an auction barn & indoor rodeo arena under one roof.
The freaking building was HUGE. ( probably 300 m long )
And when "Jase" from DUCK DYNASTY came out to do his presentation.
The arena end was pretty well packed.
