Some jerk-off is yanking my chain because I left a different version of SPIN and a part of IRRATIONAL REMIX on my profile.
"You aren't paying to hear anything", behave yourself. If I don't have "Invisible Light" on it, it might be because it was on there for quite some time already. Did you think it would be ok to rotate a few of my tunes on there? Is it ok with you? Gee thanks.
I'm flattered that you would take the time to send me email to bitch about it, but really your way off base and if you keep doing it, I'll leave SPIN/IRRATIONAL REMIX on there forever so shut yer yap.
PS: I don't take requests now or ever. You don't like it? I don't care.
I am not in the business of selling more beer and I started out as a nobody and that's how I'll probably go out, but I don't owe anyone any money and I do what I want to with a smile on my face and a spring in my step.
If it gets under your skin, then good. Behave yourself, my paltry music only on display here at Bmix until I throw a fit and take it down. (I'll put IL back up on the player at some point, the problem is that I only have the free account and I can barely fit 2 pieces in the 15 megs allotted.)
"It's all fun and games until you bite into that piece of extra-crispy KFC and you get the tail".
lol I don't get upset easily unless I hit the grey fur, then I either want a refund or more "chicken" to make up for me finding out about the meal du jour.

I never answer most emails (unless they are on this site) and yeah I get hate mail, advice mail, offer mail and just general abusive mail (mostly). The key is that I never take it too seriously and I read it all. (that part is fun)
I had a guy try to buy music from us (Les and I). I spend a very short amount of time in a small time studio in Manhattan due to this site.
I had a guy try to send me a check for $ for recording (it wasn't much anyway). I sent it back because I was unsure and didn't want to be unscrupulous. So he sent me an amp and I was very happy with the gesture, albeit shocked like a crow on an electric fence.
I knew I was in deep when I got nasty email about the last keys player and the fact that this one woman thought he was going to be suicidal when we parted ways.
(I was like, who the feck is this and how come she's concerned with Lester... squirm-squirm-squirm "bi-atch".. lol)
I just got an offer to play for locals on June 22nd, but it's really not an option. I'd have to conjure up some folks to actually get up and perform.
(I usually just back up other people's bands at this point considering it's a heck of a lot less stress and I don't have to be the micro-manager or worry about who is a no show, plus playing bass is easy and almost an unconscious act provided I've had a chance to practice what is to be played even 1 time).
I only have a handful of original music, but most of it is fairly different from every other piece and keys laden, except for the newest stuff which I won't post. Thus some people want to hear this or that, but I don't really care too much as that's not what's going on now and my bmix player isn't for people to amuse themselves, it's to hopefully show some flexibility and attract the next bunch of complainers, I mean musicians. lol
(It's like a GD sewing circle 'round here.)
So when I get some anonymous entity that is upset with me because I didn't leave the tune I like the best and possibly the best tune of them all on my player forever, it irks me a little bit. I mean, it had only been on the player for a couple of months now.
"I can only please one person a day and today is not your day". lol
I'd rather play bass for life than have some a$$hole carving up music because he's too rigid to accept the fact that "there might be a different way of seeing the big picture"..so play I play bass and am still part of the scene at hand if you can call it that and enjoy myself, but I don't take it too seriously.
I have fun, amuse myself and support bands I like.
Do I miss being the center of the proverbial universe? No. It's too much trouble and musicians are mostly bitchy and control freaks.
If you want control of your music, write it yourself and record it yourself, that way you don't have to deal with the "bipolar highrollers" club.
At least what I do now, I can control what I do and what I won't do.
If not, they get someone else and I am perfectly ok with that.
PS: I have an effect, positive or negative, it's an effect for sure.
