The Farleys destroy Simon's in Allen Park this Friday. With a bunch of bands, I believe we go on second (10pm?). I'm looking forward to hearing Joe Cracker and the Downriver Dogs, a clever sendup of Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs and Englishman.

cocker style...or beatles? both are cool but i love all the space up front and the great bass playing sitting there so naked on cocker's. great moment when everything kicks in too.

I could never choose, I like them both. But Joe's version at Woodstock is fantastic, I love watching the guitar players. "Mad Dogs" is one of the best live records ever.

I liked the old SNL skit where John was doing Joe Cocker and Joe came out and joined him. The look on Belushi's face was priceless.

Looking forward to Friday as well. I have a gig Friday with Whiskey Business and Saturday with Mission Imposter. Repeat the same thing next weekend. I'll be busier than a kitten in a room full of rocking chairs for the rest of the Year!

Our show was a lot of fun Friday, although a little strange. The first band R.U.T. took a while to set up and their set ran long so that threw the schedule off. But they were very young (19), in fact they didn't look old enough to drive! We were on next and had great time, even though the crowd was a little light for a Friday night. The band after us was an Alice in Chains tribute called Chains, and they were pretty good, doing the MTV unplugged version of AIC. The singer even looked like Layne Staley and they did the parts and harmonies pretty well. But most tribute bands leave me feeling like 'what's the point?'
