No More Happy Johnsons

We were told by the Timberon committee, that our name was not acceptable, because the festival has family elements .

I'm cool with it. We told em 'no worries...'

We are now officially billed as The BluePoetSouls.

This has tremendous significant meaning for me... because I basically have a built in band on the map now, whereas before, the name was short of fictitious. One day, I just called myself The BluePoetSouls...and now I have some awesome musicians standing with me... They are very cool with the name.

Whatever works for you..

If you play like crap, your name will be synonymous to how you play.

If you play well, you could have a crappy band name and still do quite well but yeah a pg name does help.

Good Luck Grant..

Probably a more friendly band name, for sure - but no spaces between words? I'd add them only because its confusing without them. You can always make banners/shirts/promo stuff in the format you want.

Thanks Scotty... :) I have to learn about 10 more covers... The set list will also have about 7 originals. Right now, I'm trying to get John Lee Hooker's "Boom Boom" down. The chords and riffs are the easy part... Trying to pass as a "Cool, like an old black man" front man...is extremely difficult. This is one of those songs that one has to earn the right to own... In his dialog, there is a distinct emotion of excitemnent over a girl...It aint happy happy joy joy...but its there...and I aim to capture it...
Was listening to the Animals version...They do it good...but not quite like Hooker. Gonna stick with and try to capture Hooker's version. You know i come to realize that theater is a big part of music /stage performance.
