Looks like the 'freedom fighters' improvised a rather nasty way of killing folks.

Yet another reaon for the US to stay out of messes like that. No good guys to be found.

Stay out of these messes? Mike you surely know we're the ones that create these messes.

Remember a few years ago when the US had suggested that Syria's leadership should just simply step down before humans rights violations ensued...and how the Syrian Govt declined...? That was the beginning of our black ops. It taken a few years, but we created the unstable environment that now leads to this...

We are creating a revolution in Syria, to impress upon the Middle East that Middle-Eastern cigarettes will be replaced by Marlboros.

And those chem weapons, ...sadly ...They will be used to redeem and vindicate the Bush suspicion about weapons of mass destruction.

I'm sorry that the truth has come out in the form of death, as the illustration for Americans-against-Bush to realize that he wasn't kidding...

I can see this spreading to a world wide war

When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city. They devoted the city to the Lord and destroyed with the sword every living thing in it—men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys.

"No prisoners".. lol "Put them to the sword"

"Who do you worship? WRONG ANSWER, CHOP-CHOP-CHOP"

The thing that always bothers me, "Holy Wars".
I mean, why do you have to kill those that don't have the same belief system you do?

Seems awfully intolerant, no?

LOL

God is not "tolerant". . . perfect in His justice . . . not "tolerant"
Tolerance is great in Blue printing an engine.
In men, it's weakness.

If you know the story, the Israelites were disobedient.
They took to them the spoil of war they were instructed to leave.
And we're punished. ( they are still being punished )

My point is that war is atrocity. It should not be protracted with "rules of engagement" intended to increase and prolong profiteering.
If one must take the sword, use it swiftly and ruthlessly so you may return to the way of peace.

We remain . . . disobedient.

I'm obedient, I assure you..I think I even felt the hand of god smack me a few times well enough to cause dementia and a little intelligence loss, maybe even some hearing loss in one ear.

But I don't believe in chopping down the women and children.
Even if you are at war with the men, it's a "tit for tat" scenario.

I.e. If they aren't lobbing hand grenades, no need to kill them, right?
Non combatants are non combatants and even in the worst situation I cannot honestly think it's wrong to show mercy to those weaker than we are.

I know I'd want some mercy if I was the one with the gun to my head/sword to my neck.

It's always easier to be tolerant and merciful when you are the stronger party. I know no one would show me any mercy but that wouldn't stop me from being merciful. *(I walked 15 miles the other day and people just stared at me as I walked. I could almost see the people looking at me and saying, "nope, do not pick up that big guy". But I don't blame them, I wouldn't give me a ride either. It's a weird day and age we live in and better to play it safe than sorry.)

Better to go down fighting for what's right than to do something that allows the win but is inherently wrong and you know it.

Mike, read between the lines and around the lines. A very honorable un- named NBC source......... Yeah Right.

I said that from the start. Just another great group of people that hate America, Americans, Freedom, and even women and children.

Does any one think we can solve that?

Bad news all around.

Speaking of poison gas. I made a huge pot of chili last Sunday and ate it every day all this week. When I let my out out he just wants to stay there, and it's way below freezing.

Dead ain't what it used to be. Some say we are on the verge of a Zombie Apocalypse. 8)

I'd live to see a grudge match between McViegh and Janet Reno.
