I've had an account on FIneArtAmerica for a while now, and just sold my first picture, so I guess that means I'm no longer an amateur photographer...

Sold a copy a few days ago, and I'm glad to see it after waiting several months for something to happen.

The picture is one of the Female Cardinal shots. It's a smallish print, but I'm pleased with it.

Congrats on the sale! Do you print digitally, have a darkroom or outsource the prints?

Thanks a bunch guys, I was pretty pleased to finally get some results on this. I set it up about 4 months ago...waiting sucks...
Guitar Mike - I do print some at home now and then, I'vfe done some prints at local retail outlets like Walgreens, these are done by the website. I upload my shots, they set up the site and the buyer just orders the print of choice, plain photo paper, canvas, metal print, framed, whatever is wanted. The website (FineArtAmerica dot com) does the printing and shipping, I get paid.
Now if this just picks up and becomes a regular thing I'll be very pleased. Then get into a band once I get settled into the local scene, that would be even better...so far nothing, just a fill in for New Years Eve gig for a friend who broke his left hand middle finger. I'm hoping before long something else will fall into place though...
Thanks again guys, I Just had to share that one...

Good stuff Pete. The fog pics really captured well, the essence of fog!

Nice work Pete... I have a friend who just started taking up photography. Is a serious investment but in the end, it pays off with such awesome photos
