Posted: Wed Mar 20, 2013 5:16 amthis new yorker appreciates the pics. the last gig i had before leaving ny was working as a private contractor driver for Sky Courier. i'd pick up pkgs from jfk and laguardia (sometimes newark) airports and drive them into manhattan for delivery, then pick up pkgs in manhattan to bring back to the airports...doing this many times a day. (we were paid by the job)
other than ridiculously long hrs and dealing w traffic, it was a great job. kinda ruined me for working in 4 walls brick and mortar situations.
anyway....ya got pics of two of my favorite bldgs that i used to p/u from and deliver to....the chrysler bldg (which is every bit as beautiful inside as out) and The Towers.
i'm still bugged that they didn't rebuild them EXACTLY as before.
