This is an hour long Keynote speech by David Grohl athe SXSW in Austin Texas, who speaks about his start in music... Its an Excellent speech and very revealing.

He's as honest as it comes...and you'll note the kindness in his life perspective, while at the same time, he managed to out punk a lot of punkers, out rock a lot of rockers and still have time to appreciate the charts of his younger days. Grohl is a model of musical success.

Grab you a beer or two, relax, sit back and watch this awesome human being wax eloquently.

I have very fond memories of Austin. My first two weeks there (I was 17) , I had to steal food out of the back of a bar & grill. They served breakfast (college crowd) and had the best bacon/biscuit with southern gravy Muffins...

Every morning they left out trays of them from the oven, cooling off..I'd sneak in the back door (and they were just within reach) and would grab a couple...That held me for the day...

Weeks later I applied there as a dishwasher. The owner asked me why i wanted to work for them...and I told them the truth...That "...I'loved their food..."

See, that's what I am afraid of..

I'd go directly to TX but I don't want to suffer like that anymore.

I been through that type of thing before and it left an indelible mark on my brains. (yeah another one) lol (it's right next to my lobotomy scars)
