Any fans here?

I have to admit, I'm not a TV watcher, but this one show has me hooked.

What I find to be so different and intense about the show is the simple and more realistic approach to the breakdown of society, and how people handle it, and each other.

It certainly doesn't make me feel good about any level of social breakdown in the US if it happens.. will always come down to who has less morals and more guns / larger groups.

Tried to watch the episode last week, too gross and without many redeeming qualities or merit (nerd for it sucked). But I'm not much of a TV guy; I know quite a few people who like it.

Jimmy - if last weeks episode was too gross for you, definitely do NOT go back and watch seasons 1 & 2!!!!
TWD is the only weekly show I am currently watching. The gore is gross at times, but the whole concept is done very realistically as far as how people react - to each other and the situations. I didn't start watching until the start of season 2, so got season 1 from Netflix and caught up quickly (season 1 was short).

Sadly it's likely a very accurate portrayal of how people would be behave in that situation.

Both the cream and the $hit rising to the top.

Love the zombies, just keep a good hand weapon and lots of ammo for whatever you're shooting them with..

Seen it - fun show but the human stupidity is a bit over the top. I mean, you're walking in the forest you KNOW is infested with zombies, yet you hold a conversation, and don't notice the zombie walking up right next to you... that stuff just angers me.

But all in all, the show is pretty fun - and gross. I was a huge horror flick fan back in H.S. saw all the really scare/gross flicks of the day so I'm kind of numb to the graphic nature of flix these days.

Loved the scene where they were pulling the zombie out of the well, and it tore in half, with one half falling back into the well. haha.

Kill the Gov'nor... Kill the GOV'NOR! That is one strange demented dude.

Interesting show. This was done so many times before. However some one pointed out the the focus on human interpersonal relationships. I'll bite.

I'm old school... My favorite movie is still 'Pale rider'... I know, I know.

yeah, he's not like whacko dimented though.. he's like clever and even a bit of charming kind of dimented.. coaxing in people to like him, compulsive lying, etc.. I mean, who keeps "live zombie" heads in fish tanks? LOL.

What makes me love this show is just how random everything is.. you never know who is just gonna F-up and not pay attention to their surroundings at the worst moment, or who is just going to fly off the handle and go beserk.. A world with no law, total anarchy, and constant threat is scary, but makes a great TV show.

I don't have a TV but I've followed this on the web.

My favorite episode was the confrontration with Gang Bangers over a bag full of useful guns. I really didn't see the ending coming - it was very well done.

Spoiler alert - the gang bangers were protecting the people in an old folks home so they decided to split the guns. Once the testosterone levels dialed back it was pretty darn cool.

There was a neat one where Apache gunships were shooting up Atlanta which made me feel just a bit queasy.

All in all, I like zombie sh*t and I like good writing so this works. But not enough for me to buy a TV!

The downside - somebody told me just the other day that Zombies aren't real! Says who? Wait until World War Z comes out!

Oh, man - they killed off one of the original characters. Lots more gore in this show. 1 show to go this season. They're having a marathon of the show on AMC this week.

We've been hoping for Andrea (the last "dumb blonde" on Earth) to die all season.
