Awesome video, glad he still keeps it real and treats fans like people!

He's from my neck of the woods, always liked his stuff up to the late 80's.. that whole "we didn't start the fire" and pretty much everything after was just garbage IMO.

I like the guy though, I think he got a bad rap when that model exwife of his ran all over the country trashing him.. she was tasteless and classless to do that (and she was having an affair before she divorced him!).

That is way cool! So kramer what part of the island are you from? I grew up in queens so spent some time around LI.

ok, ridiculously cool that:

BJ let that guy accompany him
the guy had the chutzpah to ask
the guy could play like that (and in C not D where he usually plays it)
and man-o.....how about BJ's singing? whatta MONSTER!!!!

I have always liked Billy Joel and EVERYTHING he wrote or recorded. I think in spite of his success he has managed to stay true to whom he really is and has always been. I don't know him personally but have seen him in many interveiws and he seems like a down to earth guy!

I could never figure out what Christie Brinkley saw in BJ - she was hot in her time!

LOL my mistake, I thought he was from the scranton area in PA. About 75 miles too far south :/

I kinda liked some of his new-wavey stuff like "It's Still Rock n Roll To Me", "You May Be Right", and a few hits like "Pressure" (his best song) and "Allentown" (meh, it was okay).

I liked the fact that he wasn't really confined to one genre.

Although, most of his work is just mediocre crap anyway.

I kinda felt bad how his wife and brother-in-law treated him, though.
He didn't really deserve that.

I am not 100% on BJ either, but he was sure nice to the kid.

For that he's gets credit at very least.

I agree with mike about that song, which is why I brought it up.. at that point in time, BJ got into a different mode of rhythms and much of what he did was painful to listen to.

I will also say that one of my fav songs by him was from that same era "matter of trust".. I thought it was simple, rhythmic, and just a really great song. I also really liked a lot of his ballads and early work from the 70's and the rock and roll stuff from the early 80's. The guy has had a very good career to say the least. I've heard he was always a decent guy towards the fans and general public.. which speaks volumes to me.. I get really bent about the holier-than-thou attitudes some musos get after getting famous.
