Big storm headed to K.C. tomorrow, up to 12 inches. I'll be doing a lot of internet stuff. Travel will be dangerous. We need lots of storms to break the drought. But no tornadoes...

Could you hold the storm there for an extra day or so? It's supposed to hit here on Sunday and I'm supposed to be going to the Who-Quadrophenia show that night - 20 miles north of here. Tickets were big bucks and I'll be pissed if its cancelled, or worse yet, goes on but I can't get there!

You better head there Saturday night Mike! I heard it's supposed to hit us tomorrow, but I don't think it's going to be that bad. 40 by Monday; another month until spring!

Wife is in Kansas . . . if she can't fly out Friday, I'm taking the 4WD north.

I've got 4WD, but concerns are: 1) will the band/stage production make it; 2) will the roads get closed due to state 'emergency' - they did that for the storm 2 weekends ago.

fisherman bob, your neighbor here and I'm just about 180 miles south of you.. we were supposed to get hit pretty hard with freezing rain, but it is just about over, and mostly was sleet.. I can live with sleet but I absolutely despise freezing rain.. good luck Bob! hope you don't get 12 inches unless you desire it..

Actually the snow is a huge blessing for the drought. Heavy snow all over the midwest. We got.12 inches, 2 to 4 more coming! Wow! This is good nes. Now the bad news. I liive in a townhouse community where the snowplowing is non-existant. I have to shovel a good deal of the parking lot myself to make sure I can get out if my son has a seizure. The homeowner association doesn't give a sh*t.

my twin brother always loved snow, but not for the obvious reason.. he maintains it pulls a lot of nitrogen out of the air and fertilizes the ground!..maybe it's true?

3 feet sucks but you've got a lot more people and plows there. There's a bunch of lazy, red neck dumbasses who need a serious dose of fsherman bob here. When the only person to help is a Mexican immigrant WOMAN the locals are worthless sh*t. Sorry for the rant, but it's time for people to man up. Dumbass mother fuc*ers....

Actually the truth is coming out. THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH HEAVY EQUIPMENT TO DEAL WITH THE SITUATION.

Big government let us all down with hurricane Sandy and then this snow storm Nemo.

Big government is not the solution, big government is the problem.

There was no big equipment around except in PRIVATE OWNERSHIP. To even call that in would have called for major changes in laws.(insurance)

Who suffered? The people that trusted.

THANKS FOR THE LEADERSHIP... That especially goes for the town supervisors that were "ON VACATION" and didn't return to deal with a major problem.

LEADERSHIP.

Well the wife is STUCK . . . and she don't want me on the roads all night to go after her.

Oh, and fisherman bob averted a highly volatile redneck break loose type of situation. While simultaneously conducting a rant of his own.

That my friends is TALENT ! 8)
