Extended tours of duty and ridiculous rules of engagement intended to prolong the profits as long as possible.
I'm not surprised.
We've been mucking around in the Middle East long enough to kill every living organism there.

It's not "war" it's campaign finance.

I grew up under the idea that when I turned 18, I would be drafted and sent to Viet Nam to die.

Once again we have politicians that are getting us involved in wars that only lead to hopeless resolution. Mostly because of political and international diplomacy that has a really skewed view that may include a profit motive. That is not to say that we don't have some of the GREATEST YOUNG AMERICANS dedicated to protecting our Constitution and our Country.

The problem underlying is not our great young Americans but the hopelessness of the situations our government puts them into.

Jimmy, I agree with you. This is extremely sad. HELP FIND THE ANSWERS.

Glen... It seems to me, that the 'greatest generation' (the WWII gen) faced a lot worse adversity when they grew up; than these young punk-ass cry babies face today, and that generation managed to unite, pull together and kick the asses of some of the most evil MFs in the world. In my opinion, there ain't a 50 years old or younger that has anything real to complain about... except for the part where we all are about tolose our country to yeat more evil MFs.

Sometimes , you just have to abandon the huge systems of failure and take matters into your own hands... Were gonna see more of that , soon.

Just leave him alone Jeff. For all his education he has no ability to to think on his own. I hold no animosity toward him. He has educated me in the learning of liberal thinking. I have no desire to get into the defensive games that liberals wish to push. Republicans are just as guilty.

I have made my points... They are far more radical than anyone could conceive... except maybe the original neocons that originally had this wonderful idea of freedom for all men, willing to accept personal responsibility, tolerance for their neighbor, and love and generosity for all.

People like Jimmy will never understand this. Leave him alone.

The draft ended before I became ELIGIBLE you stupid redneck. But if I was eligible I could have gotten out like Ted Nugent by crapping myself every day for two weeks. Or maybe I could have gotten out like Romney by claiming to be a minister. There so many great Republican examples it would be hard to choose.

Oh believe me JD, you wouldn't last 10 seconds at a lottery muster. Even the Army knows that some folks aren't fit, cant be trusted with other's lives and would never be allowed entrance. So its nothing you ever would have ever had to worry about.

I imagine you would do a Romney yourself. You try to speak with great eloquence and knowledge but your occasional spelling errors and circular, faulty logic errors betray your true self - a wanna-be intellectual who was unfortunately schooled in a sub-standard educational system.

Could it be the importance of responding to your DUMB@SS comments doesn't even warrant lifting a pinky to hit the spell check button? Get it? You ain't near as important as you think you are PU$$Y!

Spell check button? What are you using a Commodore 64? Modern browsers have spell check built in. See that red line under half of the words you type? That means it's spelled wrong. But don't let me stop you, I have low expectations.
