Keith, Band mix is where musicians come to dance with other musicians over politics, religion and good old fashion flame wars... If you want to meet musicians , the best advice i can give you is to locate the open mics in your area, get up there and do yer thang...Meet, greet, connect with folks...and before you know it, you'll be all over town, jamming with folks.

Good luck

Keith

It always depends on location. If you are going for the gold ring get to LA or NY or Nashville.

For club work, I hate to say it, but JimmyD says there is plenty in Detroit.

Very hard to make a living at it these days. Few of us actually do anymore.

Good luck.

As a musician looking for potential band-mates, the first thing I look for is *anything* in terms of audio of you playing / singing. The first few seconds let me know if you're even a candidate.

Nothing on your profile? Why would I bother? It show's me you're eithing hiding something or just here for the forum politics.

It's a two way street - you're not the only one doing the interviewing - your potential candidate is also interviewing you.
