We consumed a relatively small number of molecules compared to the nearly countless number of man-made molecules and compounds that exist in untold amounts in the air, water and soil all around us. Many of these molecules we are purposely ingesting; fluoride, preservatives, hormones, pharmaceuticals, etc. In our "wisdom" we haven't got a clue of the long term implications for the very survival of homo sapiens. In our quest to eradicate bacterium and viruses we are actually increasing their ability to survive and thrive as they become more resistant to our attempts to kill them. And now we are starting to change the very genetic structure of our DNA in an attempt to strengthen our ability to resist or cure diseases, all of this with absolutely no clue as to the long term effects of our survival. Somehow humans have evolved to believe science has the answers when quite factually WE DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT THE FU*K WE ARE DOING, DON'T WE.
I wasn't sure what the point of that was, except a declaration that "humans are stupid."
Generally speaking, yeah, humans can be pretty stupid.
And we seem to be getting stupider.
Idiocracy is upon us.
As we embrace 21st century technology, we seem to be regressing to 12th century superstitions.
Not a good combination.
There are still places in the world where people are executed for allegedly practicing witchcraft.
There are still places in the world where people are stoned to death... for being raped.
The United States was founded upon principles of the enlightenment era.
This was only a generation after the Salem witch trials.
That is a pretty AMAZING accomplishment!
But, there is nothing inevitable about progress.
For 300 years, Mesopotamia was at the peak of human civilization.
In scientific, social, and economic achievement, nowhere else were humans more advanced.
Today, the same region is near the bottom in every category.
And the United States is following down the same path that was their downfall.
Science hasn't done that.
FAITH has.
Faith in the supernatural.
Faith in the absurd.
Faith in all the wrong things.

Then you suffer
Superstition ain't the way"
