59 Reissue Marshall Plexi. The Plexi and the Les Paul were made for each other. I have a quick demo on my page. CAUTION: brief wanking. may be objectionable to some older viewers.

Great tone. Are those stock PuPs on the LP? Also, I like the effects too. Eventide Rack Mount?

Sounds great Mike. That is indeed a guitar tone that suits your playing well. Yes I did catch the brief wankage but you kept it interesting, had good theme development and didn't lose the plot. I like.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback. jsantos, yes those are the stock Pro pickups but I'm probably going to change out the BurstBucker 3 and keep the 57 Classic. I use an effects loop. I dont use a lot of effects, Mainly I use Delay, Reverb, OD, Compressors and some type of Noise Gate. You need a hotplate also to get the best tones from the Marshall's without blowing out windows.

Yep.
That's one reason I purchased the 5 watt model.
I generally leave it set at 11 and make the changes with the volume / tone pots on my 336.

In truth, to me, even at 5 watts it's still too loud for the rehearsal space.

MikeG - great sound. Nice thick highs without sounding mushy.

George - know what you mean about small amps. My 15 watt G-dec will light up a room. Almost good enough to play with drums, but that is a big 'almost' since it just plain doesn't have the speakers for that.

I assume you're mic-ing yours? If so, what's your trick for getting the big speaker sound?

My bassist Eric and I worked out the mic positioning together.
As I played he positioned a Sennheiser e 609 and moved it around until we found a sweet spot we both agreed on for the tone, and marked it with some gaff tape.
From there straight into the board . . . so for the most part it's just guitar and amp.
The recordings come off the board into a pair of Zoom R16 Multitrack Recorder/Interface/Controllers that are linked Master / Slave.
