My take on it, is completely different. He was a brilliant Tactician, leader of a rag tag army that defeated a terrorist government. George Washington was a brilliant man that never wanted the responsibility of having to lead so many stupid people. He also did not want anarchy.

We have a shrinking tax base,(GDP) and a growing dependence on government. (need for more revenue, to support that dependence)
Obamanomics, taxes trickle down so more people are dependent on government. Seems to be less tax revenue than is needed to keep this entitlement society going. HHHMMMMM sounds like Greece.
