ya know...i don't mean to slam pearl jam if that's a band you're into but i never got 'em. hugely overated in my opinion. and i could never figure out which was more annoying....eddie vedder sliding up into every other note that he couldn't hit squarely...or his braying goat vibrato-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o.

Probably the goat vibrato.
I just like that song and I'm glad someone more modern played it.

I will say however, that Pearl Jams debut album is one of Rocks classics. After that? Meh...

It all comes down to personal taste, I love Pearl Jam 10, some great songs for me, but after that I dont know they just didnt do it again for me. The only PJ we play is from 10.

I have to respect Pearl Jam, because they didnt go with the flow, if they had no telling how big they would be now, but they did continue on making music like they wanted, on thier terms for the most part.

They played the Whos Reign On Me, at the Who induction to the Rock Hall of Fame last year, and I swear it was better than the original Who version, so my hats off to Vedder, vibrato and all.

Is that what it is? I can't stand his singing either, and it sounds incredibly off-key (to my ear) at times.

+1 vote for Pearl Jam 10.

The rest of the music is a little, "not quite excellent".

for me the "rusty nails on a chalkboard" award goes to...

Dave Matthews

Not only is his voice the most annoying sound in the universe, but the music behind it is boring and pretentious.

Just saying..
