I've been on here for nearly 2 years. Not much, next to some. Ask for advice on just about anything. They will tell you if they can make your request a negative thing. Human nature behind the cloak of internet is what you're faced with here. It is my gripe. This should be a good site. It's not. People give you negative input not to help you thrive and learn but to put you down and tell you you've missed your pills. What Is music? It aint worth what these guys are dishing out. Take your last gulp of sea water and like it. How many of these people are paying. Who pays to get insulted? A never ending sea of insults and disbelief on anything you say. There are masters on this site. They are really good. For those, we inquire. Others, well, there's just not enough I can say to get kicked off this site for. I've tried. Assholes to bellybuttons. They line up to insult and discourage. What's left when NICE is gone. Happy f**k New Year to those whom claim this site is for themselves and what pleases their palat.

BANDMIX has been very beneficial to me and my band.

We were able to locate our Bassist and our Drummer via the BANDMIX search function.

One of our primary contacts for gigs early in the Bands career located us via BANDMIX.

The assistance I have received personally as a musician from others here has truly been invaluable.

Yes I appreciate them also. And although I am not currently a payed member I have been several times since 2007 when I joined.
And will likely be again.

I got one email from a dude in Lebanon, Mo. once wanting to jam, but we never got together to jam.. Lynard Dylan and I have jammed but apparently he must think I suck, after what he said on this board about me.. I am a eunuch, a sasquatch, but I did like the part where he said, "I don't have to be but prefer living that way" like it's a crime against humanity to shun humankind once and for all..  I have seen human nature time and time again, and come to the same conclusion after 57 years on this earth, and that humans are generally trying to see what they can get over on you with, or to prove they have more worth than you, or they know more, or they have had a richer more rewarding life than you.. blah blah, blah..

I guess that's why the Beatles had to write "Fool On The Hill" :o "Nobody likes" the "fool" because he is content not caring about and therefore not confined to the beliefs of other people around him. This one would rather sit and stare. Ignorance can be bliss, but so can enlightenment. They can be one and the same when thought of in terms of your own perception. Regardless of the "fools" motives and intelligence, his separation from everyone else breeds hate due to other peoples self-consciousness. If you think only in way the mass of people around you think, then you will never understand individuality. Can you be as much of a "fool" as this man? chord progression/melody is amazing as per usual from the beatles...

Crunchy, No site is worth this kind of hostility. There are some hardcore musicians here...the real deal...and perhaps they are sick to death of idiots who 'dabble' and don't deliver sh*t. ...Don't be mad at em... If this were a Vetrinarian's forum, how many electricians are gonna get attention and reverence...even if they 'talk' about parakeets... Seriously dude, you will feel much better if you make an effort to post some music and assume the position for criticism...its the only way you are gonna get value out of this forum... IMHO.

Dane, don't trip on it man..it wasn't meant to draw blood.

I do that almost absentmindedly if I am going that direction..

"If it doesn't seem 100% like a cut to the jugular, it's not"..
I'm generally so blunt, it's pathetic..

If you want clarification, just ask but do not assume.

Bandmix has been very helpful in my career as a semi-professional musician. I have gotten to pick the brains of musicians from all over this country and have gotten priceless volumes of very helpful information over the years. Bandmix also is the reason I am playing with one of the BEST bands in the greater Houston area. I have had some misunderstandings and battles with members on here. Its kind of like when I was a kid and got into a fight with someone I didn't know, we beat the hell out of each other only to become best friends. I am not saying ya'll are my best friends but I do consider some of my bandmix buds close friends. Cheers!
