I heard that Dictator Light may sign the UN gun control bill.

This means that every LEGAL law abiding gun owner will have to report the guns that they owon and be put on a gun owner list. The gun owner will have to be accountable for registering their guns for a period of 10 years. No mention if the list is made public or not.

No problem with this at face value... but what other private information they will require was not mentioned.

Neither of the media headliner shooters were registered owners. Just more crap to get legal guns from law abiding gun owners. Just more efforts to make the public unsafe from lawbreakers. Yet I am sure the legislators will exempt themselves, naturally, they always do.

So when they decide it "necessary" to confiscate them, they will knock on the doors of those who are obeying the laws, but the bad guys can keep theirs.

If the bad guys can "keep theirs" why don't you simply ignore the law and "keep yours" which the majority of gun owners will likely do after this law or similar laws are passed.

If the gun is properly registered they already have that info, and are probably assembling a big national database.

Not like any other agency isn't hoarding data on just about everything you do and every move you make, right?

You know SB1813 passed the senate and is expected to be approved by the house? Here, let me give you a link..
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505164_162- ... s-by-2015/

How about AT&T, Google, etc gathering your personal data and habits.. then giving them to the guv?

How about mastercard and visa tracking your spending habits?

How about every internet click, email, chat, TXT, voicemail, etc that you send gets recorded and analyzed for alternative behaviors?

We are all hopelessly tied to the grid like a princess to railroad tracks. Some might live a little more off the grid than others, but believe me, they know more about you and I than you think even possible.

Having to register your guns is the least of your privacy invasions.

Why do they need to take your guns to control you ? So unimaginative ...
We are trapped in 9-5 jobs .... domesticated and paying our taxes.
They let us pick from their selections who will be our leader.
The day we are born we get a number.
We are a cash cow. Why rock the boat ? The tick doesnt want the dog to know its there ....
21st Century Oppression will be different than 20th Century style.
Soon the Corporations will be the New Gods.

Of all RECENTLY purchased REGISTERED guns, not those that have been passed down from other generations. They do not have all the info on collectors and traders. Their next step to complete tyranny is to locate all legal guns owned by law abiding citizens (Those who love America as a free republic) then they can take them at a time that they decide to do so. Doesn't anyone know anything about history and how Marxist / Communist types of governments begin their take overs? Just look at the patterns of government oppressors through out history.

The governments of these countries always allowed themselves to carry, just as ours politicians exempt themselves from these laws that they pass. These foreign governments turned on their citizens as soon as they were unarmed. We are being controlled by such as these and they are taking away our rights day by day, a little at a time. And the response from most is "Whatever".

Some of you folks are under attack and are too ignorant of what is going on around you to notice your liberty being taken a little at a time. You frogs need to wake up and jump out of the pot before your cooked for good.

Slacker,
I think we've all noticed it, whether it's gun rights or otherwise. I've argued til I've been red in the face about our privacy rights being usurped, the patriot act, the NDAA, even trade policies like NAFTA and CAFTA are taking our rights to work and earn a decent living.

The repeal of the glass-stengal act as well as corporate personhood is another big one.

We all agree, it's happening, and while they get us looking intently at one thing, they take 5 others when we weren't looking. Just like the gun issues, the HB to put black boxes in all cars has slid thru the anus that is congress like a laxative, and there's been almost no hype from the media about it.

When a right is in the spotlight like guns today (as it should be), the real issues are the ones the media is ignoring, because the spotlight issues are rarely ever changed because of the spotlight
