Setting here watching the news. A local radio news personality Jim Pruett of the Stevens and Pruett radio show got into selling guns after the radio show ended back in the early 90's. He now owns one of the biggest gun stores in Houston. Yesterday he received a very threatening and terrifying death threat! That's a peaceful way for libs to get their point across Huh? And ya'll call gun owners nuts!

A gun is only a tool.

Yes ?

Oh, I though you were talking to me.

I own many firearms, from flintlock rifles to semiautomatic "battle rifles " .

Some of my favorite are the Civil War era (antebellum and parabellum ) revolver reproductions. Both cartage and cap n ball types.

I purchase reproductions because I am a shooter, not a collector.

They are all beautiful in form and function in their own right. So much so as I almost derive as much pleasure disassembling cleaning and repairing or customizing them as I do shooting them.

I also am a hunter and enjoy being in nature as well as cooking and eating wild game.

None of this has to do with the SECOND AMENDMENT.
The SECOND AMENDMENT is the principle or "key stone" Check & Balance of our form of governance.
Without weapons, there is no liberty nor justice to be had in the realm of men.

I do not hunt. Used to but a strange thing happened during the war. My lieutenant was angry with a villager who was blatently lying to us so rather than shoot the man (which I know he wanted to do) he shot the man's burro.

The poor little critter gave out a wheeze and expired. It bothered me a lot for some reason. I haven't shot at an animal since. Don't rule it out - if the kids get hungry hell I'll shoot a Dolphin if I must. But only if I must.

Tried to explain to my grandaughter why the deer in her neighbor's truck had an arrow sticking out of it. ("I think it is sick Pawpaw...") Yep, very.

But I don't object to other folks hunting. Just lost my desire to do it.

As long as hunters eat what they kill, I don't mind.
But, hunting for sport kinda pisses me off.
A "sport" is when TWO sides are aware they are playing.
Arm the bears!
Level the playing field.
Better yet, mandate that you must kill the prey barehanded.
Let's see ya tangle with Smokey like that, ya sadistic bastard.

I dont underdstand the need to kill animals (as sport). I saw a vid of some ass-holes, who cornered a cougar in a tree, and shot it with a cross bow. (5 yards up) . The poor animal crouched, blood poured out of him like a tap, , he fell out.

The whole thing makes me sick... I cant tell you how many times I want to absolutely beat the sh*t out of these amateur hunters...
I absolutely detest most adult humans...and there are days when I feel that their lives are worth less than the animals' lives. I really dont understand why I feel that way...but I do... and I think it has something to do with compassion and empathay for the underdogs of life.

Spoken like a true sociopath.
You love animals but have no empathy for fellow humans.
Shake yourself.

Oh brother another gun nut? eh gZ? I just don't understand the way you left wingers take it upon yourselves to judge everyone based on "how you feel" Someone wants a gun to defend themselves and they have no empathy?

The gun is really best used as a defensive tool, NOT offensive...

And if you don't need to be shooting those animals for food, you shouldn't be hurting them.

I'd think that whatever weapon you had would be around "...in case of crazy human".
(The animals usually aren't an issue because they're afraid and their guns don't work, same with their ballistic armor and compound bows w/broadhead tips) lol
