A massive influence in my youth, InAGaddaDaVida, which I understand originally was supposed to be In the Garden Of Eden. I listened to that album countess times.

I heard that they had just finished a rendition of innagaddadavida that they started playing in the 80's - had a heart attack when he took a bow.

Same here.

I'm sure some of you recall my recounting of my find of an IRON BUTTERFLY 8 track in the bar ditch while out horse back riding.

It was a turn for me.

RIP

That song and Born to Wild were the first two "metal" songs I ever heard. Blew me away and I knew I had to have rock music in my life.

BTW the whole album is excellent, "Flowers and Beads", "Termination", "Are You Happy", "My Mirage" all great.

I think Iron Butterfly, Page was still in the Yardbirds when they formed.

If you wanna be nitpicky, Led Zeppelin were originally the Yardbirds... or the New Yardbirds.
They were sorta splitting up in 1968.
Jimmy page just replaced everybody.
But, he could no longer use the Yardbirds' name because Chris Dreja owned the name.
So, they became Led Zeppelin.

This was my introduction to The Yardbirds. It was a comp that was released in October 1970. I still have the album but wish they would release it on CD.

MmmMmmMmmmm

"Led Butterfly".. ooh. Could even be "Lead Butterfly" or "Leading the Butterflies". lol Oh that reminds me of that Blind Melon girl.. ecch.

That could be either a band name or a tune..
Very useful...something to ponder, steal it if you can use it..

Ooh how about "Stealing Butterflies" or "Steeling Butterflies".

(like stabbing them with a sword) lol uh-huh..righto..
