"Since when is numb EVER comfortable"?
It will all pass, just give it some time.
Dec 2012 was destined to be a dark time, regardless.
And so it is..

My grandfather had great advice regarding this. "Worry about the things you can change. The rest will happen in it's own time and you will adapt."
Turn off the talking heads on TV and choose faith over fear.

I call it the 'one hundred meters.' That is the distance I can interact with on the battlefield. I realized that i should focus on that distance because that was the distance in which any I did mattered.
I still try to focus on that - since I have no influence on anything else.

Spock: "History is replete with turning points, Lieutenant. You must have faith."
Valeris: "Faith?"
Spock: "That the universe will unfold as it should."
Valeris: "But is that logical? Surely we must....."
Spock: "Logic, logic, and logic..... Logic is the beginning of wisdom, Valeris, not the end."

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.

Hey Bob
We got rid of our Cable and internet.
We only get what we can grab for free out of the air.
Try it .... save some money and get rid of the talking heads and the commercials .... I was tired of the voices in my TV telling me what to wear buy who to vote for and general all around doing the thinking for me.
Maybe you will feel better.
Hope ye do.

I recommend we all unplug for a few days and listen to 50s music and early Beatles

Classic Nuclear Assault.
Maybe I'll listen to 80's thrash metal instead.
Mosh around the apartment!
