If you need me to stick it on the bmix player, says so.
Otherwise, say what you feel. I always do. Why shouldn't you?

Very retro sounding, obvious nods to Pink Floyd. Faux British singing, phase shifted guitar in a keys-dominated tune. Not bad but not exactly sincere, almost borders on musical caricature. Three out of five stars.

The vocal track is garbage, all the time I spent working with it on Monday was ignored and set back basically to where it was when I got to it.
I guess someone has an issue with harmony.
I'm glad I didn't have to pitch this turd, cause that's what it is in comparison to what it was.

I like it Cap'n! The only negative I heard was it sounds like the vocals weren't quite sync'd on a few of the words. I really like that roto sound or phaser whichever it is on the guitar.

If you liked that, you would have liked it more the way it was, not how it is now.
Regardless, that collaboration is over.
I refuse to participate in that type of butchery and the fact I had to wait a week to get it after it was basically sabotaged tells me what I need to know.
"time for online chess".
PS: Jimmy, that's what I sound like. I don't do "faux british vocals", it's just coincidence and nothing more but that's okay, you can't polish turd. And with the low so far out front, it makes me wince to even listen to it.
The word "debacle" comes to mind.

Sorry to hear that Cap'n! Anyway they can remix it more to your liking?

Leave it up until tonight so I can hear it when I get home from work!
Never rush a mix. If it sounds bad first time, make note of what doesn't work, and adjust, try again. Better to step away for a day than to keep pushing the knobs back and forth.
And don't give up on it or the others just because of this experience - they've got to learn, too.

Dane you really don't need to hear it.
It's baaaaaad and believe me I would try to like it..(it is partly mine) but it's so fuct it makes me want to start swinging wildly.
If you thought "Bridgette" was bad, this is in a different class of "nothing".
I just had to endure my buddy listening to it and he concurred.
"It's not a bad tune, it's like he put up the wrong version altogether cause he either can't hear the good part or doesn't want to".
"That's all I can stand cause I can't stands no more"- Popeye
I didn't even bother to download my copy from email yet, it just makes my heart sink. Another dingdong thrashing something I took seriously..my mistake.
(pawn to D4)
Addendum: You know I just thought it might be all a big mistake and that he may have posted the wrong version considering it sounds like the same sh*t he had going last Monday before we worked with it for an entire session, so I checked the version he sent me in the email.
It's the same crappy version as he posted on Soundclick and ReverbNation.
The debacle is complete and that tune is "toast".
I reiterate, sorry Dane, I am already embarrassed enough that dimwit had the nerve to basically use a version that was exactly the same as when we adjusted it last Monday. It's not going up anywhere I have a say in it doing so and if i were you, I'd take my word for it that it's "tripe".

From What I gathered The song Structure is Okay It's a good start but it needs work... (I like the "Invisible Light" much better)
I think the Faux british thing was too much... But if you want keep it that way, might I suggest punching in with a new track for that set of bars, and just get an unknown vocalist to do it. Its too cagey to have you jump back and forth between dialects.

lol The only faux pas british thing was the "olive in the bottom of the glass" thing and that wasn't my idea.
I just went with it.
The thing that kills me is that the LOW part is so out front when we remixed it for a even blend of all 3 vocal parts, HIGH MED AND LOW.
And then he discarded the changes and reverted it back to the "slop" he initially had when we first had to rework the mix initially on Monday.
I.E. Slap me as hard as you want in the face, but don't ignore me and don't expect me to like it if you do.
He did both and we're done.
I should have known we were in for trouble when he offhandedly deleted my good harmonic.
Sometimes you just hope for the best and sometimes it doesn't happen but that's not because we didn't know about it.

I don't know what it would sound like with the vocal blend you wanted but I don't think this version works.
The loss of the harmony takes away the feeling of melody with just the one low voice. imo. Makes it more monotone. Harmonies create depth and accents. You can decipher it in a few spots but... sounds like you expected more balance.
Everything else is fine as for performance instrument mix tech stuff. Over-all the quality sounded good in me headphones.
But it also sounds like it's been a struggle to get it this far...

Well, if you can't get him to remix, then best to cut your ties. It needs serious remixing, but the song is there. The drums need some retracking/reprogramming. I'd get rid of the talking/laughter stuff and put a good guitar lead in to end it.

my stuff is bad like dirty laundry hanging on the line, but still available to torture your ears with.. I don't think these people are fair critics here, let me listen.. somebody mentioned laughter and talking in the background, as Dark Side Of The Moon used? I can see the British connection
