I liked it...but I want more and better mic'd.

You got a nice sound, why hide it?

This was a last second thing. No practice literally. Just a jam. At the last second I just propped up my iPhone and caught it. Monday night I plan to run several mics into a mixer, then out of the mixer directly into the iPhone. That's the way I catch my live looping videos. I'm happy with that sound quality.

Like my comment on another post.

Real music / real musicians . . .

Even when it's not "perfect", it's better than the crap on the radio these days.

Aww booo, I knew it.

PLEASE do not record your jams with a phone..(doh) Pretty please?

The phone will not "tow the line". (rim shot + cymbals) lol

It most certainly will! It shoots in 1080p, the sound quality is superb considering these factors. It's just a phone!!!, I'm using the onboard mic, the volume is pretty loud yet there is NO distortion or peaking, and when it's run direct (a line in) it is precision. Like this...
Click the "change quality" "gear" on the lower right of the screen to get it into HD.

I'm quite tickled with the sound on that. And that is literally bass, drums, and guitar run into my looper and then into the phone with no effects.

For the next vids I will use my fostex digital standalone multitrack recorder to catch, eq, pan, compress, and reverb it all. Then that finished product will be simultaneously dumped live into the iphone 4s with perfectly synched audio and video.

What will be legit is the less is more thing. NO edits!
We will see if I actually post it.
