I wonder how much it would cost to add a trailer hitch to our car.
I don't know if it could even handle it.
The undercarriage is all rust.

That's because your Festiva couldn't handle the load, huh.

Ha Ha, Bob that's funny! I'm thinking, surely that trailer wasn't loaded. Those things are pretty light. My trailer is 5'x8' the title says it ways 300lb empty. I think it weighs more than that.

I towed a 1700 lb load with that festiva 3.5 hours to NC. That load was another festiva. ;)

And the trailer weighs 640lbs. I had it weighed 5 minutes before I took that video and picture.

I don't know what percentage of it that I actually lift since a portion of the weight goes on to the tongue. I would think it was at least half. I am 5 foot seven 190 pounds.

hand built front fishing deck with my 07 Toyota YARIS with 180,000 miles.[/b]

Don't try it. A one time travel is not the worth of you car/truck/SUV. Get a u-haul and save the grief. I lost my '92 Toyota 4Runner by hauling a double axle car hauler with a mini van on it. I got it here, but problems soonly ensued.

We don't have much room to haul our gear in the car.
Not very economical to rent a U-Haul to go everywhere.
Can't afford a van yet.
Just thinking.

Did you succeed to haul it properly? If you found hassle to take a move, think of shipping companies in future to make the things easier.
