A Bass Player from UK once told me very succinctly, in one sentance, what's being said here,

He said: "Musicians...Drop the bird!"

Sound advice.. My gf is wanting me to join her band but I feel that would open up a can of worms. "We are both songwriters". I dont like going to her shows because im a jealous asshole and so is she. Its such a f**k headache. Her bandmates are always trying to get in her pants and girls are always trying to get in mine. God forbid I played with another female. It takes a huge ammount of trust or iggnorance to date a musician. But at the end of the day its me and her laying in the bed playing guitar.

We are pretty much stuck with each other.
We met when she joined my band in the 90's.
So, playing in a band together isn't really an issue with us.

Any musician who wants to be a sucess is never more than a chick away from failure.

As I told my ex (and I made it up), "Beethovan would NEVER have written the Ninth if he had been married!"

Spinal Tap comes to mind every time I think about it.

I'm so glad that my wife has no musical interest and hates traveling. I like to come home and act like I'm normal.
