I wasn't expecting much but I heard one of their songs on the radio the other day and couldn't believe it was them.
check it out:

Mick sounds better than ever, actually. What a surprise!? Who would have thunk a bunch of 70 year olds could still bring it???
I might have to go see the Strolling Bones tour.

hmm sounds like they could have recorded that in 1982, stylistically and production-wise.
But then again, they never did anything for me, with exception to Keith Richards axe-choping a rabid fan on stage... that was pretty epic.

Wow, that was cool enough but it seems like I would have expected that tune from The Black Crowes..

Charley Watts is sooo cool. They'd be nothing without him. Jagger and Richards still means gritty blues-rock with an attitude.
Basically the lyrics are the world is going to end and "I'm feeling kinda hurt so baby won't you dance with me".
catchy

They're still rockign for a bunch of old f**k! Nothing spectacular from the new songs, though, not the kind that get up and grab you buy theballs the way the old tunes did the first time you heard them.

They are fing 70 years old.
If I can pump out a product as good at that at 70, I'll be happy as a pig in sh*t.

That raise an interesting q: Is it the songs, or are we all just numbed out by familiar instrument technology? Is there anything in Music today that excites the musical pallatte ? Have we just grown weary of the same electric signals that we are pounded with everywhere, 24/7 for that last 40 years... ?
I ask because this could be a reason why some good artists lose their luster

I heard Doom and Gloom last night and thought it sounded great, at first I didnt realize it was new.
Aerosmith has some neat stuff out also.
