Wow! That was pretty cool.

I certainly don't want to diminish the suffering that has been caused by this huge storm. I've got a lot of friends there who have not answered my phone messages and all I can do is hope that they are OK...but I would like to address the difference of how the media has responded to our government's handling of the situation.

Hurricane Ike killed more people and completely wiped off the map a city where I used to live (Crystal Beach) and is only now being rebuilt. Though it hit mostly open coastline, it caused about the same amount of damage as this one that hit heavily populated areas of the east coast.

But it happened in conservative Texas where we take care of our own, so you didn't get pictures like Katrina, where the Democrat/Liberals were in positions of authority and failed every person....and the liberals blamed Bush to cover their failures.

And of course since we have a liberal President now there will be no blame assigned for the dramatic failures of national government happening in NYC as we discuss it from the comfort of heated homes.
