Oh boy! Can I add my name to the Texas petition?

Too bad it won't work. The petition will be filed in the circular file cabinet.

Anyone else notice that five of the states that filed secession petitions are in the top ten of federal assistance?

#2 North Dakota (2.03)
#4 Mississippi (1.84)
#7 Montana (1.64)
#8 Alabama (1.61)
#10 Arkansas (1.53)

What the numbers indicate is the amount received per dollar of revenue. So in other words, North Dakota received $2.03 in assistance for every $1.00 of federal taxes it paid.

Neither Texas nor Michigan are in the top ten for assistance although both states filed said petitions so don't get your g-string in a knot.

But I would keep that mulletsgalore love to yourself.

I read that 25,000 signatures received in a month requires an official response, and I believe Texas had 26,000. 25,999 of them were from someone named Haley.

I seceded years ago but nobody noticed... 8)

but seriouisly folks, the country is too big to govern, too big to function, too divided to last, and too poor to last much longer.

Dang it I can't sign my name as fast as y'all Haley, they just let you scrawl a big "X" for your signature. But seriously, Obama will have to respond to the Texas petition.
