Its like saying the Ford Pinto is a Super Car because it has four wheels.

I really don't get it. Somebody explaine the Halls thinking on this.

Its quite SImple Really. The Hall is made up of Kinder , Gentler Judges who would not be caught dead sounding critical,( for fear of being thought of as assholes). But the irony in that is that they deprive music consumers of quality, by the choices they make, which essentially makes them assholes, anyway.

It reminds me of the time that Metallica didn't win and Jethro Tull took home one for best metal act or some such sh*t.

I.e> They don't know sh*t. Bought AND paid for..

If it was called the Music Hall of Fame there wouldn't be much discussion, but since it's call the Rock & Roll HOF I don't believe half of the acts that are nominated belong there. Deep Purple and Procol Harum are long overdue; I suppose Heart and Rush as well but only because those bands have so many fans.

I guess people have different musical definitions. At some of our gigs people have said we're a jazz band, weird. I agree with Jimmy's choices. (Deep Purple, Procol Harum, Rush and Heart). There are some blues greats in the Rock and Roll HOF, I guess because they were an influence on rock greats, but it's a stretch to induct people like Albert King in my opinion.
