I know a bunch of folks here don't go to concerts much/ever, due to cost or location or ... whatever ...

For those who do, got any coming up?

In 2 weeks, we'll go see TransSiberian Orchestra in Manchester, NH. This will be the 8th year in a row we've gone to one of their shows. 3rd row this year, closest ever - we'll get sunburn from the pyrotechnics!

2 weeks after, Carbon Leaf (see my post in the gear section of this forum about chooisng your instrument for tone) plays in Boston at one of the student-ghetto area clubs. Not sure we will go as its standing only, and these old bones like to rest once in a while at a 2+ hour show.

My wife's going to see Leonard Cohen in December, then our next show is the Who's Quadrophenia in February.

I took my mom to see them, a few years back... SHe absolutely adores them. She's almost 90.

I saw TSO a few years ago, the light show was awesome, the music was so-so. I like the concept but their arrangements and production are a little too "Celtic Woman" for me. I've dabbled with classical-hard rock fusion so I appreciate what they're trying to do.

I think TSO qualifies as local for us.

The keys player "Crazy Keyz" plays out of Frenchtown, NJ which is spitting distance.

Not my cup of tea, bu you have to give props/street cred where it's due.

Look up "Crazy Keys" on bmix, I'm sure he'll be glad you stopped by.
(I'll post a link if I can find him)

For concerts, I'm trying to decide between getting my gf tickets to TSO for her birthday, or season passes to Cedar Point. Tough call, CP is getting a new coaster next year. :?

TSO tickets - $35 - $60. Season passes at CP - $110 and up ...
