Tonight is a good night for the unemployed and non-skilled. They get to lay around for 4 more years and collect freebies.

He can't blame Bush, but he probably will! Everything is as it was yesterday with the exception Obama gets 4 more years.

well, we survived 4 yrs already w almost every republican in office doing everything they could to make obama a one term pres. same for Faux News and right wing media. so, now w/o that loftly goal and obstructionist approach perhaps both sides can actually work together a little bit and the country can come together a little bit. (and, no they haven't legalized pot where i live in case you're wondering!)

jeff, you and others blame obama for dividing the country, where as i lay the divisions at the feet of those i mention above.

I agree PG, the divisive crap needs to end.

Although the last 4 years of "working together" in congress only brought us fascist healthcare laws, the NDAA, and revised patriot act which removed any remaining constitutional rights.

I might agree that Obama may be the lesser of two evils, but ONLY because he's not interested in attacking Iran. When it comes to domestic policy, they are both two wings of the same bird, and in that respect, America loses.

I've yet to see the 3rd party results, might go check now, but I'm hopeful that jill stein or gary johnson, preferrably both, got at least 5% each so that in 2016, we can have a REAL election with real choices.

Oh yeah like Obummer reached across the isle with his my way or the highway attitude! The person that has divided this country IMO is Obama himself! He has FAILED to lead, He has FAILED to unite the country as a result. Your man WON DUDE now you get what you deserve! Unfortunately I get to ride shotgun!

Obama did a better job at manipulating the campaign than Romney did, plain and simple. He hit key areas way harder than Romney and it tilted it his way.

One of the pundits said last night it was like a major league team versus a b league team.

Not that I like him or what he will do over the next 4 years, but my hats off to Obama.

Time to put it all to rest guys.

i know that's how you and others who've been influenced (note i didn't use "brainwashed" or "programmed") to believe that see it that way. but the fact is.....obama's 2008 win "divided the country" before he was even sworn in.

why? because of his lack of leadership??? nah...it's because the big machinery of the right was already putting the wheels of division into motion.
that was THEIR plan from the jump. divide the country. seperate and divide and then carve up the american people. the old tried and true "divide and conquer" strategy....with the wrinkle of blaming obama for it.

and a very effective tactic it was...look how many folks actually bought into that bs of obama being the cause of this great division.

That's all true, but I would argue that the reps started that tactic when Clinton won in '92. Remember the "do nothing congress"? Things have been increasingly divisive since.

I think Romney was not able to overcome his 43% remark.. people do not like being thought of as "losers" like Romney surely thought they were..
