Thanks for this post Jeff. I just got back in town and saw it. A great show and I am a longtime fan of these guys. We saw them on their first album release tour at The Roxy on Sunset while I was in college. 3rd row in a small club and they were really fired up.

Interesting story:
A few years later I was doing some session work for Home Savings in LA and was working on jingles in studio "B". Luke was doing commercial jingles in studio "A" and I went and stuck my head in for a peek. Whew could that guy play! He nailed everything they asked for in one take. I realized at that point Luke was a very rare and gifted session guitarist And I ummmmm.... wasn't.

I had a long chat with my maker and decided shortly after to focus on my new wife and baby and put my guitar on the back burner for a while. That was a hard day but looking back it was surely the right choice for me. Now with 3 grown kids who hold 3 college degrees and 3 good jobs I figure my musical sacrifice was worth it. I can thank Luke for the dose of reality when I needed it. I will be married 30 yrs next month and wifey is still a little brown-eyed hottie. :)
