Posted: Tue Oct 30, 2012 3:49 amThe Tigers DID win the AL pennant. I believe the layoff hurt them. Sometimes it helps, sometimes not. But in the end the Giants had too much pitching for everybody. You don't win six elimination games in a row without arms.
