25 years ago. I remember it well, as a good friend was an adamant LS fan, had seen them many times, and loved to point out where he was in the inside fold-open picture of the audience on their double live album.
Running out of fuel is pilot error, plain and simple.

Did he use John Denvers maintenance crew? Not the first time someone didn't consider a little preparation such as fueling the plane.

ya gotta wonder how you prepare an airplane for flight and NOT check your fuel supply. back then.....no one was smoking any dope were they?
