In The 1970' women were adamant about changing the way they were treated. Unfortunately, they persecuted men , rather than men's bad behaviors. The women used the birth control pill as the weapon of sexual leverage over men. (Leverage, because men buckled under sexual pressure) This resulted in an alienation against male gender and thus began the war of the sexes.


In the 1980s, 1990's Women 'movements' gained ground. Men got the message that their abuses and bigotries would no longer be tolerated. Laws were set in motion. This resulted in higher salary ceilings, vast opportunities across the board for women to occupy jobs that were reserved for 'men only' in earlier decades. However, the birth control was still being used as 'man control'...until the pendulum began to swing the other way. Feminism movements became a cliche and the media pumped more fantasy about women than ever before. Sadly, media was being run or influenced by the very women who protested the false PR and images of feminine pulchritude. (Today , 5th Avenue is dominated by female executives and mangers)

21st Century:
Successful American women are generally viewed equal to American men. (There are exceptions) The 'Man control" weapon has become moot. Men have been successfully trained to respect women (and now to keep a safe emotional distance.) Therein lies the whacky catch and Irony. In a modern women's effort to get a man to see her for her brain, she may have inadvertently rejected any vision, which he might have had for her heart.

I speak from personal experience... I have made it clear to my female suitors, that they cannot own me; That I do not wish to ever own them; That they have nothing on this planet to compel me to compromise my set of morals, and that they are always free . I treat them with the utmost respect, kindness and love. Amazingly, They hang on to me... until they realize I wasn't lying. Next!

I agree one hundred per cent. My wife kept at it and finally told me it was her way or the highway. I've got a pretty nice place now. And I'm not being critiqued all the daggone time.

Glenny Bro You always got my vote... But why are you so outraged on the threads.. I never seen you like that before...

...Knowing Glenny as I have come to ... he has a long way to go before he is outraged. He is frustrated (with those sleeping here), he is a bit angry because he knows he can not do alot to mold or change the way things are now quite rapidly going, He is deeply saddenned as he watches the Republic dying, the Constitution being dismembered and freedoms being taken. Who would not be a little peeved.

So many ignore or pretend that nothing is wrong ... DENIAL. Their world, our world, everyone's world is about to "change" and not for the better. What was will never be again and so very many fail to understand, envision, prepare, or recognize ... those of us that do quite often are mocked or dismissed as somehow being radical, reactionary or "DoomsDayers".

If Glenn did not care about humanity then he would not do or say what he does. I believe it to be a good thing as opposed to what many others seem to do.

I think women want a strong man, but one that needs them in his life and defends thier honor whenever it is questioned. They want a man that considers them and confides in them about major decisions.

Women want a man with a big, fat wallet and that will be completely subordinate to THEM.

I have been married for 29 years, I don't know a thing about "women",
I only know about one woman, she seems to be ok with how I do things,
I suppose this because she still comes home after work.
I thank God every day I don't have to concern myself with what "women" think.

I voted "true" with good reason...

I did all of the research and applying for my husband for grad school, we drove my car and I let go of my dreams and never used my own degree during the recession to work and help him through school...do I benefit from it....yes I do, but there is resentment there as he begins to treat me like a leech on him because I am a stay-at-home mom, caring for two autistic kids....that's my take on it, I'm sure other guys could argue that I'm lucky I have a house and clothes on my back and my unused degree is my fault....I dig it.

Grant, tricky statement, no one should "own" the other, but there still needs to be compassion and sharing and I could see this being a "fine line" idea. I don't want to tell someone what to do, but I do want to share things with someone. It is nice that you don't want to control someone, but do you just need a roommate or a lifemate?

That is TOTALLY UNTRUE....a BMW??? what an icky car...NOW, if you got a Dodge Challenger........I would be one happy girl......I will also consider any American made cars from "69 to '71 in a hot color, send photos of your car, not yourself.......I don't care what you look like, I'll be lookin at the car........LOL!!!

Oh, that goes both ways, I guess it depends on the person, I don't even share my music with my husband because he has a comment for everything, I just went away with my girlfriends, I can't believe how wonderful it was not to have someone yelling at me or pointing out every bad thing about me, it was like being free and happy..I forgot how that feels.....

Well, money helps, it is one less thing to argue about, but you are RIGHT....

Sorry, this was too much fun to pass up.....the truth is that every girl is different and has a heart and soul that is unique to themselves. When you discover that about someone, and you are really in love with them, the way you begin to dance together will be on how your hearts need to be when you are together.....all of that other stuff is the daily mess of living and if you let it take you over and bury your hearts...then it is a loss......for everyone involved.

I don't need either. I love my independence, and with that , there is more room to focus on the needs of my girlfriend.

That is a very tragic condition to be under. My girlfriend was once married to the biggest dickhead on the planet. He treated her like a POS. I am not kidding... She suffered verbal and mental abuse. SHe had no personal time, raised 4 kids, (She said 'I gave up being a woman and turned my attention to becoming a mom') while he cheated on her, spent all thei money on his family in Mexico. Here's the punchline: On his dying day, he told her that he had married her to get the green card and citizenship, for himself and his family. Despite the ass hole that he was, she opted to be a good mom, and she stuck it out to the very end... My Song "Mariposa" is all about her. She needed that song and that's what earned me her trust and belief that I understood her.
