I hope the government is not trying to shut down Gibson's wood supply..well, if they are using "green" wood that shrinks after time has passed, and causes structural problems to occur at a later time after purchase, then maybe the wood supply needs to be shut down..t :lol:

They have since settled that with the government, I believe they had to pay a $300K penalty for using woods on the endangered species list.

Well The gov could have just let them put the guitars on the endangered guitar list...but noooooo... Damn lawyers...

i never could like a gibson
but i am very glad they did the things they did.
modern music would be very different without them

Too bad JC, Gibsons are the sound of heavy metal for me. I have a '79 limited edition reissue of a 1959 Les Paul Special (double cutaway similar to a Junior). It's got EMGs in it and it is a monster. Go listen to my version of "Into The Void" at http://www.myspace.com/ruimusik to listen to it.
