The cover band rehearsed last night, we learned five new tunes, bringing the total to 29.

Paradise City – Guns & Roses
Head First – The Babys
Dangerous Type – The Cars
Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love – Van Halen
London Calling – The Clash

We were asked to play at a benefit for a cancer victim on 10/21 so we are putting learning more songs on hold until after. Meanwhile I'm turning down more Farleys shows than I'm accepting! I never thought I'd be this busy at my advanced age lol.

jimmy, i think you should consider adding The Clash tune "Lost In The Supermarket"...maybe my favorite Clash tune.

That's weird, my drummer suggested the same tune. But we went with "London Calling" because more people have heard it. We're walking a fine line, trying to play songs we dig and the audience will enjoy too. I would love to have a band that does all deep tracks but I doubt if we would gig much lol.

Its a good thing playing that many gigs. I look at it like it keeps me in shape! Sounds like things are going good for you congrats! The extra money helps when buying new gear too!
